Mardi Gras Float

While many people are getting ready for the Super Bowl later this week, if you live in New Orleans, another exciting event is Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras comes once a year in New Orleans and includes food, fun, beads, and of course,  huge parades. These parades feature floats that are not only amazing to look at, but take weeks to make and prepare. Not many people think about those who are behind the scenes, but I know from experience that it is hard work but has a big pay off when you see your float come down the street. I was in charge of adding glitter to one of the parade floats two years ago.
